I think we can define the term home automation as follows:
Home automation is the set of existing technologies made available to provide comfort functions of energy saving and automation within a home. This concerns both the broadcasting and the availability of multimedia content through the house, the triggering of watering at a set time, the lighting of the external lighting during the detection of a movement, the sending of Enamel during ‘a presence in front of his front door or again, and the list does not stop there, the opening of the gate when his mobile communicates GPS coordinates indicating that we are getting closer to home! As you can see, home automation has as limit as your imagination!

Home automation is a concept that I hear about since the age of 15, the first developments of home automation appeared in the mid-1980s. They are the result of the miniaturization of electronic and computer systems. I did many partial applications: small alarms, automatic gates, shutters that are operated according to the external light, lights with presence detection that turn off automatically, etc. But, in my opinion, this is for the moment gadget, sometimes convenient, but no more.
