Hall 3C, in the southern part of the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, has been completed in just 18 months. “Another precision landing, in terms of building costs, schedule and the defined quality,” reports a very pleased Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse. Hall 3C represents the largest single investment by NürnbergMesse to date, coming in at roughly EUR 70 million, including infrastructure work and taxes. It will be used for the first time in early November, for the iENA inventors’ fair. Before the hall opens up to the flood of exhibitors and trade visitors, the building has received a church blessing from the two deans of the city, Hubertus Förster and Dr Jürgen Körnlein. “The construction of Hall 3C was a major project that demanded maximum commitment and discipline from our employees and countless tradespeople, engineers and architects for many months,” comments Ottmann. “The fact that Hall 3C was completed on time and within budget is entirely down to them, and all of us, including myself and my fellow CEO Dr Roland Fleck, are very grateful for their input.”
