Stephen Woo
Stephen Woo
Executive Chairman
Dr. Stephen Woo is executive chairman of Compound Photonics. Stephen brings his over three decades of scientific background and broad range of experience in semiconductor industry to define and guide Compound Photonicsʼ strategy in development of new technologies and the companyʼs long-term opportunities. Under his tenure, Compound Photonics has advanced its design and engineering leadership in worldwide ultra-small display innovations.

Prior to his role in Compound Photonics, Stephen was President of Samsung Electronics where he was responsible for Samsungʼs global system semiconductor business. Before that, Stephen served several technical management roles in Texas Instruments and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Stephen holds a Ph.D degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park.
