In 1929 Karl Mägerle and his brother Max founded Gebrüder Mägerle GmbH as a trading company for metal goods. Three years later, the takeover of the grinding machine business of Fritz Wunderli AG and thus the entry into the grinding technology follows. The foundation stone for an unprecedented success story in Swiss quality machine construction has been laid.
MÄGERLE 1980 is probably the most significant milestone. The flat and profile grinding machines, which are now established worldwide, are being built for the first time with the fully enclosed hydrostatic guidance system. This groundbreaking design principle continues to characterize the premium MÄGERLE technology, providing the unique foundation for unmatched results in precision, economy, reliability and long life.
The flat and profile grinding machines from MÄGERLE have long enjoyed worldwide fame. With equally high stock removal rates and machining precision, they are recognized in the market as top-of-the-range machines.
