About us
The master of tools Fritz Weber is involved in the promising spirit of optimism in the 1950s and founds the small company Fritz Weber Feinmechanik und Werkzeugbau. With innovative spirit and determination, Fritz Weber continuously expands the product range. In 1972 he optimized the hitherto known E-collet. He described his variant as an ER collet with the R as a synonym for Rego-Fix. With his innovations, Weber significantly influences the progress of tool clamping technology and is becoming famous worldwide. In 1993, the standards committee adopted the ER collet as the German industry standard (DIN 6499). Thereafter, the term ER collet is becoming the generic term for the world’s best-selling tool clamping system.
Rego-Fix produces and sells high-precision tool clamping systems as a second-generation, internationally operating family business with over 220 employees.
