Metrohm is a high-tech company with more than 2,200 employees worldwide. With our own subsidiaries and exclusive agencies we are present in more than 80 countries and serve our customers in more than 120 countries.

The philosophy of our founder Dr. Bertold Suhner still determines our thoughts and actions today. In this, independence plays a big role. To ensure this, since 1982 Metrohm has been 100% owned by the Metrohm Foundation. We have always grown by our own strength and have never been dependent on banks or the stock market. This gives us the freedom to plan and decide in the long term – in the interests of our customers, our employees and our home region.

We are a leader in the manufacture of precision instruments for chemical analysis in the laboratory and in industrial manufacturing processes. Our customers trust our equipment and can rely on after-sales service and on-site support worldwide.

Our devices, including software and accessories, are developed from A to Z ourselves. Only those who retain their core competencies can maintain their independence in the long run and retain the ability to make real innovations. At our international headquarters in Herisau we have a vertical integration of around 90%. We manufacture all necessary turned and milled parts for our devices in the house. We also manufacture the electronics boards, the columns for our ion chromatographs and the glass membranes for our electrodes.
