Due to the demands of the legislation and the increasingly global and competitive market, Queijaria Almeida also presents a strict system of production control and food safety, ensuring the traceability of our products throughout the production process.

From milk to cheese
The milk, obtained from herds exploited by the Almeida family in the region of Castelo Branco, gives the cheeses an unmistakable and unique flavor, allowing their differentiation, customer preference and full fidelity in the traditional cheeses market.
The manufacture
The Beira – Baixa Cheeses, recognized nationally and internationally for their organoleptic and traditional characteristics, are faithfully produced by Casa Almeida, from the Beijo Baixa (DOP) Yellow Cheese , through the Spicy Cheese (PDO), to the Sheep ‘s Cheese of Castelo Branco (PDO). Quality synonyms are also the Cheese of mixture Sheep and Goat , Cheese Queimoso , passing through the Merendeiras and Mestizo de Tolosa .
