TRIDELTA – Progress by Tradition
The TRIDELTA Group with its two locations Dortmund and Hermsdorf has its roots in the three areas of competence

– technical ceramics
– magnetism and
– sintering technology.

At the Hermsdorf location , the first company in the current group was founded in 1890 with Tridelta Überspannungsableiter GmbH (or its predecessor company). Based on the ceramic tradition of the Saale-Holzland district, porcelain insulators for the electricity distribution were first produced. In 1961, the product range was expanded by the start of series production of surge arresters; Arresters up to a rated voltage of 420 kV, later up to 800 kV, were produced very quickly, first in a porcelain housing and later in a plastic housing.

At the beginning of the fifties hard and soft magnetic ferrites were developed as further ceramic product lines in today’s parent company TRIDELTA GmbH (formerly Keramische Werke Hermsdorf). Since then, the company has grown into one of the largest ferrite producers in Europe. The philosophy of TRIDELTA GmbH is based on the development of products and solutions that are innovative and individually tailored to the needs of customers. In order to quickly meet development requirements, TRIDELTA GmbH has its own development department and close cooperation with colleges, universities and the Hermsdorfer Institute for Technical Ceramics.

In DortmundIn 1997, Thyssen Magnettechnik GmbH, today Tridelta Magnetsysteme GmbH and Tridelta Siperm GmbH, was acquired to expand the range of magnetic products. These companies also look back on more than 50 years of production history and are today among the most experienced specialists for magnetic materials, components and magnet systems as well as sintered materials.

On the basis of its broad knowledge of “magnetism”, Tridelta Magnetsysteme GmbH provides its customers with solutions for their special magnetic application problems in the form of a wide variety of magnetic systems.

Based on many years of experience in sintering porous materials, Tridelta Siperm GmbH produces customized products for solving diffusion / filtration, fluidization and sound insulation problems.

The award as Supplier of the Year by a well-known group of companies also confirmed the professionalism of the group in the provision of customized single and series solutions, their responsiveness with high quality and reliability as well as their strong customer orientation.
