SPS is an owner-managed family business, strongly rooted in the region, active in the markets throughout Europe. Founded in 1992 by the brothers Dr. Ing. Peter and Gert Schiekel. Today, the company is being Peter Schiekel headed. From a small turning shop, they developed a solid and solid “stainless steel smithy”, which today has 120 employees and whose products are recognized and in demand in the competition.

SPS has been specializing in manufacturing high quality and durable turned and milled stainless steel, titanium and other nickel-based alloys for over 25 years. The components used are of the highest precision and quality, above all in chemical and pharmaceutical plants, in medical and clean room technology, and even in the aerospace industry. The machining of stainless steel is not without quirks, but interesting and tickles the skills of the professional. Stainless steel is fun!

SPS produces only small and medium sized series. At least once per shift, often several times, the modern machines have to be re-equipped and reprogrammed. That makes the work varied and creative. It will never be monotonous and boring here. Every working day brings new requirements and experiences.

As a family business, SPS gives its employees a long-term and secure perspective. Everyone has the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and experience, to learn and develop in a team. SPS is easy to reach and is located in a beautiful region. Here, the housing market is still relatively relaxed, the rents are affordable. The region is well stocked with children’s facilities and schools, including medical facilities. The company is located in Dohnaer Gewerbegebiet, just off the A17 motorway, just 300 meters from the Pirna exit. It is only a stone’s throw away from the city of Dresden with its famous Baroque buildings and its rich treasures of world culture (20 km approximately). Even closer are Pirna and the Elbe Valley (8 km) as well as the Saxon Switzerland with its bizarre rock world. Prague is not even 100 kilometers away. SPS is therefore in a region where it is good to work and live, where there are plenty of offers for culture and leisure – and where there is still plenty of green and fresh air.
