AEM – A short profile
The AEM – Anhaltische Elektromotorenwerk Dessau GmbH is a medium-sized family business with 70 years of experience in electrical engineering. With around 150 employees, AEM has established itself as a world-wide successful special machine manufacturer for three-phase motors and three-phase generators for drive solutions and power generation.

Over the last 20 years, AEM has been developing with great success. It more than tripled its sales and increased its export share to 60%. To date, the company has delivered over 12,000 machines to more than 70 countries.

AEM specializes in custom development and production of hydropower and shipbuilding generators, as well as mining, mining, mining and testing equipment.

From the development, over the production and assembly, to the examination on the in-house test field all production steps take place exclusively at the location Dessau in excellent quality and with newest technology. In order to meet the increasing demands, production has been continuously expanded in recent years and between 2006 and 2012 a total of € 14 million has been invested in modernization.
