With brands such as Erdal, Frosch and tana, Werner & Mertz is well established as an innovative company on the European market. We have been very close to the Mainz location for more than 150 years. As well as the principles of an environmentally friendly and sustainable economy, because for us sustainability is not a fad, but lived company tradition. Site loyalty and the joy of innovation form the excellent basis of Werner & Mertz for new impulses, which we repeatedly provide with our products and initiatives.

In Hallein near Salzburg, Erdal GmbH was founded in 1953 as the second production site. Over the years, the Austrian branch of Werner & Mertz grew to around 160 employees and increasingly took over the sales responsibility for the southeastern riparian states.
Since 2011, the Werner & Mertz products for consumers or professional users are on the market not only in Europe but also increasingly in Japan. There, around half of consumers already know our Frosch brand – and that in German spelling.
