About us
The Wöllner GmbH, represented by the managing director Dr. Ing. Barbara März, is one of the leading producers of soluble silicates and specialty chemicals in Europe under the umbrella of the Wöllner Group. The group of companies is managed by Dr. med. Eduard Wöllner Family Foundation.

Wöllner has stood for special expertise in the field of applied chemistry for more than 120 years. This experience is particularly used in the development of new chemical products and silicates.

Wöllner products are used in numerous industries. Thus, we are for the large-scale chemical industry in general and for the construction, paint and paper industry in particular raw material and system supplier. Wöllner distinguishes itself as a customer-oriented medium-sized company, which with its motivated and highly qualified team is always available to interested parties and customers as a competent partner.

In addition to providing in-depth customer advice on our products and their application, we also offer extensive assistance in the form of standard formulations, compatibility tests and customer training. This extends all the way to extensive technical service, e.g. for the stabilization of industrial water cycles.

Our products are developed and tested in our own laboratories and offer many outstanding advantages for our customers. Thus, these allow e.g. in papermaking, conserve water and energy or protect against fires and high temperatures in fire safety applications. Colors that are produced with our products are characterized in particular by a very high durability and low soiling tendency.

Our eco-friendly, natural water glass products have a high sustainability and are up to date with their excellent property profile.

The product portfolio includes, among others, inorganic binders based on silicate, special adhesives, silicate powders, organic specialty chemicals as well as additives and process chemicals.

In addition to our headquarters in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, our group of companies has locations in Bad Köstritz (near Gera) and in Gratwein-Straßengel (near Graz / Austria).

At Dr. Eduard Wöllner Family Foundation is a private foundation under civil law, which is registered with the Inspectorate and Service Directorate Rhineland-Palatinate in Trier and has far-reaching goals and tasks.

To the tasks of Dr. Ing. Eduard Wöllner Family Foundation includes the management of the assets of the Wöllner Group, the securing of the family business, the coordinated development of the various member companies and the strengthening of the Wöllner Group for the future.

The family foundation is represented by the board of directors consisting of Dr. med. Barbara March, Dr. Stephan Harbarth and Franz C. Ditterich.
