No progress without beginning
On 01.01.1968 the brothers Gustav and Günter Schumacher founded the company Gebr. Schumacher in Eichelhardt. This company initially produced agricultural machinery parts, which were mainly in demand on the aftermarket for combine harvesters. The development and patenting of the world famous button-top ear lifter in 1965 laid the foundation for this foundation.
It was followed by other innovations such as the SperrspangenEhrenheber or the interchangeable cutting system. Altogether more than 250 patents testify to our constant effort to further develop and improve products for our customers.
In September 1978, the company KGS Sondermaschinenbau was taken over to expand the activities of individual business sectors. Since that time KGS has produced not only special machines, but also mainly hydraulic components for combine harvesters.
