Over 100 years in the service of electrical engineering
Just four years after the founding of the power plant of the (former) city of Barmen, Elektro-Ing. Edmund Herhahn on 1 April 1891 at the Trade Office of the city of Barmen register his company for the construction of electrical lighting, power and telecommunications equipment.
His company experienced from the beginning to the replacement of the steam engine and the gas engine by the electric motor.
The triumph of this engine was determined by its low price and easy maintenance.
But even before the electric motor, the light bulb moved into many administrative and residential buildings.
It was a bold step by Edmund Hehahn to compete with the old conventional energy carriers with the new energy.
For the expanding area of electricity, the company was expanded in 1920 to include a repair shop for electric motors, transformers and electrical equipment.
The focus of the company today is in the care of industrial customers in the fields of chemistry, textile, metal processing.
Another field of activity is the building and EDP network technology for banks, insurance companies and medical practices.
We also carry out housing installations for property managers and private customers.
