The AVL Emission Test Systems GmbH (AVL ETS) with locations in Neuss and Gaggenau supplies high-tech measuring systems and high-quality automation for the analysis of the exhaust gases of combustion engines.

These systems are mainly used for tests on engine or chassis dynamometers to check and optimize emissions of pollutants in engine exhaust. The technologies used are a prerequisite for being able to realize the increasing global mobility in an environmentally sound manner.

Our innovative solutions and our worldwide service capabilities make us the preferred partner for our customers. These include u.a. the global manufacturers of combustion and hybrid engines, component suppliers, fuel producers and private and regulatory test laboratories and universities.

As one of the world market leaders in emission measurement systems, we are a global player. The distribution and support of our products takes place via the globally distributed branches of AVL List GmbH. Our customers include automotive manufacturers as well as commercial vehicle manufacturers, industrial and marine engines, chainsaws and lawn mowers, as well as fuel manufacturers, vehicle component manufacturers, private test service providers and regulatory certification laboratories.

Based on a professional innovation strategy and the high use of expert know-how in development, we have been awarded with the “TOP Innovator” award every year since 2009 in the TOP 100 competitions.
In 2013, the company was honored in the category “Management Team of the Year” at the International Business Awards and received the coveted bronze Stevie trophy.
At the German Business Awards 2015, the AVL ETS was awarded the golden Stevie Award for the most innovative company as well as a Stevie Award Silver for the best new products.

The AVL ETS products are mainly produced at the Neuss and Gaggenau sites. The majority of the development is also located at these locations. The company has over 450 employees in Germany.
