About us
Aluminum-Guss Sauerland GmbH is a manufacturer of zinc and aluminum castings in die casting and chill casting. We produce castings according to drawing, pattern or 3D data. Thanks to our Polish aluminum foundry, we are able to manufacture light metal castings enormously economically. Currently, we manufacture 40-30 aluminum parts from 0,030-30,000kg piece weight.

The chill casting process can be used to produce dimensionally accurate castings with good surface quality. With appropriate casting technology, we are able to produce even small quantities cost-effectively. In addition to gravity chill casting, we manufacture in a rational tilt casting process. The use of mixed molds and pouring parts has also been established for years. The pouring of sand cores is possible in the house Alu-Guss-Sauerland. Sand cores enable u.a. the introduction of cavities within the castings. This measure extends your design possibilities with regard to a light, functional cast part.

The die casting process is machine-based and allows the efficient production of large series of light, thin-walled castings, where particularly small tolerances, a smooth surface and sharp contours are to be achieved. The very elaborately constructed forms of alloyed hot-work steel allow about 100,000 casts. In this process, aluminum is pressed in a liquid state into a steel mold, fills the existing cavity (die-cast form) with aluminum and displaces the air present there. Due to the high pressure of the melt, the mold is filled exactly. During the solidification process, the liquid metal is kept under pressure to further press the cooling metal to the mold walls. This “reprinting” achieves a very accurate picture of the cavity.
