Founded in 1979 as a three-man operation, today SPECTRO employs more than 400 people worldwide. In 2000, the company was first named a market leader in metal analyzers in the official SDI industry report. SPECTRO is also well above the industry average in ICP and XRF spectrometer growth rates.

More than 40,000 systems have been shipped all over the world, from hand-held spectrometers for metal recycling to fully automated process control systems for a wide variety of industries. Customers include the smallest companies as well as international corporations, and there is hardly any industry in which SPECTRO devices do not make a significant contribution to safety and product quality.
