Welcome to Walther Flender –
Tradition and innovation under one roof
Our story begins in Dusseldorf in 1935: The merchant Walther Flender founds a trade in wooden pulleys and the “Flender Kitt”, an adhesive. A short time later, our belts already include timing belts and even entire belt drives.

Today, 85 years later, we are one of the market leaders for Timing Belt Drives and Conveyor Drive Systems. Our product and service portfolio includes timing belts, pulleys, V-belts and V-ribbed belts, gearboxes and geared motors, clutches and freewheels, conveyor systems, machine cladding and ready-to-install system solutions – always with the highest precision.

 The original 15 employees have now grown to around 300 and today, in the third generation, we are still owner-managed.

What makes us as an employer so special? As a family business, we offer our employees what we consider important in our relationship with our customers: quality and cooperation.

Because we are convinced: without people no corporate success. For us, promoting is just as important as demanding motivation and quality of work – always on the basis of a respectful and appreciative approach. Our flat hierarchies and the close cooperation of all departments enable us to make short and joint decisions. Our managing directors are always close to our employees.

And because personal communication is not enough for us, our employee magazine “WF News” regularly provides information on current business developments, planned investments and new employees. And not by an editorial team but by our employees for our employees!
