USE OF DIRECT DRIVES (LINEAR AND TORQUE MOTORS)
The linear motor feed drive achieves a significantly more even feed movement.
Compared to conventionally driven machines, deviations from the programmed setpoint speed to the actual speed are significantly lower in a machine with linear motor drives. This results in a significantly better surface quality and accuracy.
The direct drive in the feed axes (linear motors X, Y, Z and torque motors C, A) counteract disturbing factors such as process forces and inertial changes of the machine kinematics faster. Programmable setpoints such as feed rate, acceleration and jerk are optimally maintained.
