Products
chemagen offers kits for the convenient and safe isolation of DNA and RNA from a variety of sample materials (http://www.chemagen.com/chemagic-kits.html). These include, for example, the isolation of genomic DNA from blood, saliva, tissue and cells, the extraction of viral or bacterial nucleic acid from blood, plasma, urine, smear materials or cultures and the purification of total RNA from blood.
On the one hand, nucleic acids can be isolated manually with the help of the chemagic kits and special magnetic stanchions. On the other hand, the extraction of nucleic acids can be automated with the chemagic kits and one of the chemagen devices.
chemagen has two devices in its product portfolio: The chemagic Magnetic Separation Module I
(chemagic MSM I) offers the user a high degree of flexibility. It is capable of processing both 10 μl and extracting nucleic acid from up to 10 ml of blood. The chemagic MSM I works very fast and can therefore be used in laboratories with a high sample throughput. Chemagen has developed the chemagic Prepito in order to offer a product especially for laboratories with low to medium sample throughput. This allows the parallel purification of up to 12 samples. In general, chemagen also offers its magnetic particles (M-PVA Magnetic Beads) independently of chemagic kits. The surface of the magnetic particles is modifiable so that chemagen also offers magnetic particles with certain functional groups. An example of this is carboxylated particles. Thus, customers from the fields of HLA diagnostics, human genetics, biobanks, blood banks and routine diagnostics are addressed. Furthermore, the isolation of bacterial DNA from food, genomic DNA from plants and animal samples can be done with chemagen products.
