The story of Elektor
Elektor has been a household name in the world of electronics for more than six decades. The founding of “ Elektuur ” in the Netherlands in 1961 launched the first maker movement. Since then, the global electronics community has grown to hundreds of thousands of dedicated members and technical experts – especially in the English, German, Dutch and French speaking world.
Elektor Verlag – the source of information for electronic engineers
In addition to magazines, Elektor International Media, based in Susteren, the Netherlands, also publishes books and digital content (websites and newsletters) on the subject of electronics. Both ElektorMag ( German , English, Dutch and French editions) and MagPi ( German , Dutch and French editions) are published as magazines. The English edition of ElektorMag is published in North America (US and Canada) under ISSN 1947-3753 and in the UK and other countries under ISSN 1757-0875.
ElektorMag is published eight times a year . ElektorMag offers a wide range of electronics projects, information, how-to’s and more. Individual issues have a special focus. There are suitable products for every project, which can be purchased in the Elektor Store ( www.elektor.de ).
Over the years, Elektor has evolved from a pure magazine and book publisher into a multimedia community platform that supports electrical engineers and makers and companies that want to work with them. Today, Elektor magazines ( ElektorMag and MagPi ), its digital offerings ( Elektor Labs , websites and newsletter ) and its webshop enable members of the global electronics community to be inspired and also to develop, share and promote electronics of all kinds effectively sell.
