As a mid-sized family-owned company, we are the partner for high-quality abrasives. We help our customers to work more efficiently and with higher quality. We provide our application knowledge and our sophisticated services. Together with our customer, we develop individual solutions and accompany them in the application process.

history
At the beginning of the company’s history was the trade in iron, wood and household goods, which was replaced by the production of cleaning and care products as well as matches. Towards the end of the 19th century, the production of “emery paper and emery cloth” was added. In the following years, these articles gained in importance as a result of increasing industrialization. They are today referred to in professional circles as abrasives on documents and belong to the group of high-quality tools.

For more than 100 years, our abrasive fabrics and sanding papers have given the most diverse products the necessary finish to produce quality products. A diversified production program is marketed through subsidiaries and various other distribution channels worldwide.

If over 280 years have been written from the origin and more than 185 years of company history under the name STARCKE, the future should also be actively shaped. Convincing proof for this is in particular the 1997 completed and the world’s most modern counting production facility for abrasives on documents – a guarantee for our recognized quality products.
