BITZER Wiegetechnik GmbH was founded in 1948 and developed from a scale service company to a manufacturer of industrial weighing technology. In addition to scale construction, the company sees itself as a system provider that optimizes the customer’s processes with its products and services. In addition to the mechanical and electronic workshop, there has been a separate software development department since the early 1980s. Thus, the high-quality and high-performance vehicle scales, bulkheads and belt weighers are integrated into comprehensive logistics systems by combining them with industry or customer-specific software.

Today, around the parent company in Hildesheim, there is a group of four further service and sales branches as well as an extensive partner network in the federal territory. In addition, BITZER maintains contacts with partner companies throughout Europe. In total, around 60 employees are currently involved with BITZER in order to always be able to offer customers outstanding quality and innovative products. The decentralized structure of flexible and regionally distributed service units guarantees quick on-site assistance. The concentration of many years of know-how, not least due to the exceptionally low employee turnover, is the basis of a comprehensive competence in the automation of weighing processes including data processing. Coupled with continuous input from the customer, processes are optimized and market-oriented innovations are created.

The company BITZER has a recognized quality management system and is certified as a specialist for scales according to the EU Directives 2014/31 / EU and 2014/32 / EU, both automatic scales (eg bulk and bagging scales, etc.) and non-automatic scales ( eg vehicle scales, platform scales, etc.) independently without commissioning the calibration office. As a full-service provider, BITZER offers the complete service including the coordination of legally required recalibrations as well as corresponding maintenance contracts and emergency service.
