How can we make our contribution to environmental protection?
As a distributor and service provider of compressed air systems, we have dealt extensively with this topic and worked out measures for energy savings of up to 30%. Compressed air is used in many different ways in many industries. In German industrial and commercial enterprises approx. 62,000 compressed air systems are installed. For many years, GROSS has offered annual customer training for compressed air system operators aiming to increase the efficiency of these systems together with their customers in an active partnership. The optimization of the system is carried out step by step. The distribution network is checked; Leakage and bottlenecks z. B. valves and fittings are eliminated. This eliminates the extra work of the compressors to compensate for these pressure losses. The savings potential due to a pressure reduction of 1 bar is 6%. More than three quarters of the costs are determined by the energy costs, the largest part of this energy is immediately converted into heat in the compressed air system. Our goal is to reduce this accumulating heat z. B. for space heating purposes. Maintenance costs account for the least part of the costs, so it goes without saying that this extends the service life.
This bundle of measures to increase resource productivity and energy efficiency of plants in terms of production-integrated environmental protection optimizes the use of compressed air systems and achieves economic savings of up to 30%. These measures pay for themselves within a few years.
In the new building of the company GROSS in Wettenberg a new training room is now integrated, which makes it possible to carry out with up to 25 participants customer training with professional equipment. In addition, seminars for regional educational institutions are held at regular intervals in order to work towards optimizing efficiency and environmental protection during vocational training and further education. A frequency-controlled compressor system with the necessary measuring equipment is available for performing simulations and performance tests.
The results of the seminars confirm the right way. Energy saving is our part of environmental protection.
