About us
In 1994, mechanical engineer Jürgen Swora built a rear tank for his Africa Twin to be ready for a motorcycle tour with his friend Jörg Diehl to Libya. Many motorcyclists were interested in the tank. And so in North Africa, a travel dream was realized and a business idea born. Together with Kai Jockel, the two founded their company in 1999.

SW-MOTECH stood for metalworking expertise, the world’s first detachable luggage carrier, crash bars and main stands. Together with Achim Kessler, soft luggage specialist and founder of the company BAGS-CONNECTION, the idea for the tank ring for attaching tank bags with the popular QUICK-LOCK function was born. The success laid the foundation for the later merger of the two companies. More about the history.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years. In the meantime, more than 260 people are bringing in their technical know-how and passion in developing, manufacturing and selling premium accessories. But one thing has not changed: at SW-MOTECH the passion for motorcycles unites.
