Projekt System & Management GmbH (PSM) is a joint venture (50% each) between Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH and Co. KG (KMW) and Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH (RLS), two of the leading manufacturers of armored wheeled vehicles and tracked vehicles in Europe.
PSM was founded in 2002 with the aim of coordinating the development and production of the new Puma infantry fighting vehicle for the German armed forces.
PSM is the main contractor for the SPz Puma program, currently the largest development and procurement program of the German Army. At the same time it is the client for the companies KMW and RLS.
As the overall system manager, PSM is responsible for planning and managing the project with regard to conception, development, testing and qualification as well as production.
Responsible for sales and marketing of the Puma, PSM is also the point of contact for international customers.
The competence of PSM is based on the know-how of proven specialists from the parent companies, who, as PSM employees, guarantee the successful development and production of the Puma AFV with their experience and skills.
Kassel was chosen as the company headquarters, as both KMW and RLS have locations with development and production capacities here.
