OHARA has been one of the world’s leading glass manufacturers of optical and technical components for more than 80 years. Owing to outstanding product quality and always service-oriented action, the OHARA Group has positioned itself as a major supplier of optical glasses on a top level.
With more than 140 types of glass, OHARA offers a wide range of precision optics products that are in demand in a variety of subject areas – for example in photography, microlithography, astronomy and telecommunications.
The OHARA Group operates worldwide and serves its customers from manufacturing and distribution facilities in Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, China, the USA and Germany. Currently more than 500 tons of glass are melted per month and more than 25 million pellets are produced.
The precision lenses from OHARA are available in various forms, such as bar form, as lenses, and as molded parts for economical use in polishing processes. OHARA GmbH is a subsidiary of OHARA Inc. and responsible for all customer activities in Europe.
