GSG Solar Berlin GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the Gewerbesiedlungs-Gesellschaft (GSG Berlin), was founded in 2012 with the aim of renting roof areas and operating solar systems.
With more than 50 commercial yards and modern business parks and around 1,000,000 m² of lettable space, GSG Berlin is one of the leading providers of office and commercial space in the capital. The approximately 1,900 tenants (small and medium-sized companies) work in a wide variety of industries and employ a total of more than 15,000 people. GSG Berlin has been actively promoting the energy transition in Berlin since 2011 and manages its property portfolio sustainably.
GSG Solar stands for competence and experience in real estate management including the necessary energy infrastructure. The overriding goals are decentralized energy conversion and considerable CO 2 savings. GSG Solar and GSG Berlin are making a significant contribution to the planned climate neutrality of Berlin.
