In addition, Hombach is a pioneer in the development of the European twin-sheet process about 20 years ago.
The twin-sheet process can be briefly described as “double vacuum deep drawing / thermoforming”. On the one hand, it enables the production of rigid paneling components in dimensions of up to 3000mm x 2500mm as well as large-volume tanks (tank-like structures) in the same dimensions and depths up to 900mm.
Almost all thermoplastic semi-finished products (plastic sheets) can be converted as materials.
This unbelievable range of available materials enables the product-specific selection with the most optimized properties in terms of quality, economy and physics. and chem. Properties.

In 2009, Hombach further developed the twin-sheet process into the field of film technologies. Twin-Foil Forming enables the production of thin-walled hollow bodies made of film thicknesses from 0.3 mm upwards. In particular, heat exchangers or lightweight cores / plates can ideally be produced with it. The specially developed Twin-Foil system currently allows component sizes up to 1500mm x 1000mm, whereby several components can be connected to larger units.
