Innovations “made in Germany”

TE Connectivity has around 90,000 employees worldwide, of whom 7,000 are engineers. There are just under 800 of the approximately 5,000 employees in Germany. Around 260 work at the Bensheim Automotive Competence Center. The logical consequence of this concentrated knowledge of engineering: A large part of all the Group’s innovations for the automotive industry has its origins in Germany. TE Connectivity registers around 750 patents annually and has over 18,000 worldwide. About one third of its turnover is made by the company with products that are not older than three years. If a technology company wants to be successful in the long term, technological market leadership is almost mandatory.
