The production of our products is energy- and resource-intensive, which is why our production processes have a major impact on the environment and energy and resource consumption. Through considerate action, through innovation and through the ongoing integration of new insights, we drive environmental protection forward. Environmental protection also means energy efficiency, energy use and consumption.
Sustainability is part of our corporate philosophy. It is our job to reconcile environmental protection, social responsibility and economic success. Our environmental and energy management system ensures that environmental risks are avoided and resources conserved, that energy efficiency is ensured in the manufacturing process and that energy savings are taken into account. Our employees are required to behave in an environmentally aware and energy-conscious way.
Environmental protection and energy efficiency are continuously improved at our foundry sites in Laufach and Karlstadt. Our corporate policy goals are brought in to the highest management level as part of an environment- and energy-oriented corporate governance, implemented and reviewed.
