About us
The German RepRap GmbH based in Feldkirchen b. Munich was originally founded as German RepRap Foundation (GRRF) 2010 by Jan Giebels and Florian Bautz.
German RepRap develops and produces 3D printers for professional use in additive manufacturing. Along with accessories, consumables and know-how, these are distributed through direct sales and through an international dealer network. In addition to private customers, global customers include, above all, large industrial companies and distributors as well as engineering and design firms. Our machines can be found in almost all industries – from the automotive industry to the food industry.
Our developments are based, among others, on the RepRap project, which was originally launched by Adrian Bowyer, Professor of Evolutionary Research, at the University of Bath (UK). The founders of the company have been involved in the further development of open source 3D printing since the creation of the RepRap movement.
