MeinMacher is a business unit of Vangerow GmbH, based in the Swabian Mittelstadt, between Reutlingen and Tübingen. Since 1957, meanwhile already in the third generation, they have been dealing with a great deal of expertise with the future of the electrical and television technology industry in Germany. Until about the end of the last millennium, the path of consumers naturally led to retailers, if a new washing machine, a new TV or fridge should be purchased. However, the establishment of large trading giants and the sale via the Internet have significantly changed the retail landscape.

New business ideas were needed to secure the future of the “true specialist retailer” with excellent technical know-how. It is not easy to find new niches that make sense for the end user and the trade in such a dynamic market. How good that the MeinMacher head office has a creative environment for this: since 2005, Vangerow has been based in the former film studio where Käpt’n Blaubär was produced. Around 35 employees, including 10 online marketing specialists, are on duty day after day to bring the repair and specialized trade forward. Two in this family, well-rehearsed team in no case missing: “working dog” Paddy, who ensures that all have enough exercise and the coffee machine as a “good soul” and communicative meeting place of the house.
