Artistic casting – the family business Strassacker is committed to this old craft. Ernst Strassacker founded the art foundry in Süssen in 1919. Today, around 500 employees work on the design, casting and processing of art objects in the parent company and in the French branch.

The art foundry Strassacker in Süssen, Baden-Württemberg, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers. Bronze casting of the highest craftsmanship and artistic perfection is based here on decades of experience, creativity and technical innovation. From the idea of an artist, sophisticated sculptures and aesthetic objects, modern architectural elements and large-scale sculptures are created in precise manual work in the studios, the foundry, the chasing and patina workshops.
Today, the art foundry in the parent company and in the French branch employs around 500 people in the casting and processing of art objects. The most famous works by Strassacker include the 5m high “Uwe Seeler foot” in Hamburg, numerous sculptures by the painter and sculptor Ernst Fuchs, as well as the traditional media award “Bambi”.
Strassacker is not only the first address for artists, sculptors and collectors, but also a competent partner for architects and public clients. The restoration of historical sculptures is just as much a part of the company’s broad range of services as the “Sacred Art” and the distribution of editions and garden sculptures in the adjoining gallery.
