Founded in 1925, the family-owned company Marquardt, headquartered in Rietheim-Weilheim, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of mechatronic switch and control systems. The products of the mechatronics specialist – including operating components, vehicle access, driving authorization and battery management systems for electric vehicles – are used by many well-known customers in the automotive industry. Similarly, Marquardt systems can be found in home appliances, industrial applications, power tools and e-bikes. The company has more than 11,000 employees worldwide at 20 locations on four continents. Sales in the 2018 financial year amounted to 1.3 billion euros. Annually, Marquardt invests around ten percent of its sales in research and development.
