“We started out as a ‘garage company’, like many committed founders before us. However, with the small difference that our garage was a converted cowshed, “recalls Günther Zimmer. “In 1980, we worked out and manufactured our first products there.”
Günther and Martin Zimmer, owners of the Zimmer Group, continue to work hard. However, not alone, but with a large development team in state-of-the-art offices and factories for sales markets around the globe. Her South German “Technikgen”, curiosity and her pioneering spirit have brought the brothers far. Today, they run the Zimmer Group together and employ almost 1,000 people. About 100 are currently added annually. Sales: over 150 million euros per year. Growth: double-digit for years.
The recipe for success has good ingredients: the Zimmer Group’s product portfolio is wide-ranging. We pay attention to synergies in production and sales. And we can always face new challenges with innovation and expertise.
The success story next part: To ensure the future viability in the global market, the owners establish the umbrella brand Zimmer Group. The formerly independent companies Zimmer GmbH Technische Werkstätten and Sommer-automatic GmbH merged into Zimmer GmbH and join Zimmer GmbH Kunststofftechnik, Zimmer GmbH Daempfungssysteme and Benz GmbH Werkzeugsysteme (a joint venture together with Homag GmbH) as Zimmer Group ,
