IST Metz GmbH is an international medium-sized mechanical engineering company with around 350 employees at its headquarters in Nürtingen. Around 550 employees worldwide work for the Group worldwide. For more than 40 years, the company has been producing systems for curing print and coatings using UV light. The UV systems cure paints, varnishes, silicones, adhesives, resins and other materials in fractions of a second.

The IST Metz Group offers its customers the world’s largest product portfolio of high-performance UV lamp and LED systems. The offer is complemented by hot-air infrared drying systems and excimer technology. As early as the late 1960s, the very good curing properties of paints and varnishes under UV light were discovered and over the decades, the niche business developed into a globally active, market-leading group of companies. The curing systems are used in printing presses, but also in the curing of coatings on automotive and cosmetic parts or, for example, in the coating of smartphone and tablet screens. Over the past few years, IST Metz has repeatedly caused a sensation with its specially developed, highly refined, multifunctional and award-winning printed products. The ever-sophisticated combination of print and online media shows the wide range of possible applications of UV technology. In 2002, IST Metz launched the in-house exhibition “UV Days”, the first international event focusing on UV printing. With around 1000 international guests and more than 40 exhibitors, the trade fair is now the largest event of its kind. In the early summer of 2019, the UV Days will take place for the ninth time at the headquarters of IST Metz GmbH.
