RAMPF Machine Systems develops and produces innovative machine beds and frame components made of high-performance materials.
Alternative materials such as mineral casting (polymer concrete / EPUMENT) and ultra high performance concrete (UHPC / EPUDUR) score with outstanding damping properties, low heat conductivity, high isotropy, homogeneity and media resistance, flexible shaping, chipless impressioning and innovative bonding technology.
Furthermore, so-called “intelligent machine structures” can be created by integrating sensors and actuators in machine beds and frame components made from alternative materials. These include, among other things, sensors for temperature measurements for the detection of interfering heat as well as corresponding temperature control lines, with which the disturbing heat can be counteracted.
In particular, the mineral casting developed and produced by RAMPF for machine beds and frame components scores points through its resource-saving production as well as environmentally friendly disposal and recycling:
EPUMENT mineral casting and EPUDUR ultra-high performance concrete are cast cold in molds made of wood, steel or plastic. This consumes up to 30 percent less primary energy during manufacturing compared to other materials for machine beds and rack components.
The high casting accuracy, coupled with the high-precision in-house molding technology from RAMPF, saves the otherwise necessary transport of the machine beds and rack components to external processors and reduces / avoids the use of processing machines.
EPUMENT Mineral Casting and EPUDUR Ultra-High Performance Concrete consists of more than 90 percent natural minerals and rocks, as well as an epoxy resin based EPUMENT or cement based EPUDUR binder. Thus, the machine bed and frame components materials can be disposed of as normal building rubble.
The crushing of mineral cast parts and ultra-high performance concrete in large shredder plants to Edelsplit as well as the separation of metal components is tested. Mineral cast mineral chips can be used as building rubble recycling material in road construction and road construction, in industrial construction, in surface sealing of landfills or in green areas.
