Always ahead of the times
but does every new technology really have to be implemented?
Nowadays in particular, politics and business are complaining that German companies hardly produce any innovations. As a manufacturer of durable capital goods, we allow ourselves a little digression here:
HBS Electronic already had AC voltage sources before 2014, following the zeitgeist
Touch screen surface and arbitrary waveform generator made on DSP basis.
The device series was presented at the international Munich industrial fair Electronica.
But the fast-moving innovations had their price:
– The industrial PC used has been discontinued. The successor did not have an IDE interface.
This meant that no industrial CF memory modules could be used for the operating system.
– The touch screen display was not able to cope with the harsh industrial environment in the long run.
– The DSP signal processor has been discontinued.
– Support for the Windows CE 7.0 operating system ended during development.
Production of ACS T ouch S creen A rbiträr was canceled after four years of development and production time the end of 2015 again. The constant software and hardware adjustments for a safety-relevant product made profitability hopeless.
For arbitrary applications, the Wave option from the ACS Powersource series has also proven itself to be excellent for complex three-phase simulations.
