Flat / face grinding
Surface or surface grinding is used to create surfaces that are either completely flat or straight in the main feed direction of the grinding wheel.
The plan or surface grinding is divided into:
Circumferential grinding in deep grinding
Peripheral grinding in pendulum grinding
face grinding
Deep grinding
Deep grinding Deep grinding is a grinding process in which the feed is relatively large and the feed rate is correspondingly small.
The workpiece shape is ground with large infeed, or from the full material.
In deep grinding, among other turbine blades, grooves or profiles, rotors and camshafts are processed.
Use with:
open-pored peripheral discs with low hardness
Advantages over pendulum grinding:
better surface quality of the workpieces
lower grinding wheels – wear
shorter grinding times, since idle travel and Tischumsteuerzeiten omitted
Peripheral grinding in pendulum
grinding reciprocating feed movement. The delivery movement takes place gradually in small steps at a relatively high feed rate.
In circumferential grinding in pendulum grinding, among other things, shafts, rollers and shafts are processed.
Use with:
peripheral wheels
Face grinding
insert with:
cup wheels
Certified quality
For the further development of product quality, ELBE is in constant contact with scientific universities and the corresponding machine manufacturers.
The basis is the quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2008. From receipt of goods to production-accompanying quality control to checking the ready-to-ship products, nothing is left to chance.
