With more than 1,100 employees, KNOLL is the largest company in the Upper Swabian town of Bad Saulgau. Walter Knoll laid the foundation stone in a 200 m² hall in 1970. The family-owned company supplies the manufacturers and users of machine tools worldwide with conveyor systems, filter systems and pumps. All industries in which machine tools are turning, milling, drilling or grinding use KNOLL products, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, vehicle construction, the aerospace industry and energy technology. Since 1974, the company has been growing steadily on its own premises. At first the covered area was 900 m², in 2015 already more than 54,000 m². Due to a high level of vertical integration, the added value remains within the company. The solidarity and responsibility for the structurally weak region are firmly anchored in the company philosophy. Whether airplane, turbine blade, car rim, knife or mobile phone – the list of end products that KNOLL contributes to is multifaceted.
