Based on our extensive experience and technological expertise, Asahi provides process filters for virus removal which have been introduced into the market under the trade name PLANOVA™.
Virus filtration with Planova™ filters provides high safety against the potential risk of virus and TSE contamination during the purification of biopharmaceutical products and plasma derivatives (e.g. clotting factors, immunoglobulins, monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and others).
Recently, we developed products for innovative solutions in downstream bioprocesses such as BioOptimal™ MF-SL, a hollow fiber microfiltration membrane, e.g. for cell culture clarification, and QyuSpeed™D, a hollow fiber anion-exchange membrane filter for protein adsorption. Last year, we acquired the engineering company Technikrom US to provide customized automatic equipment for complete technical solutions.
