About us
As a member of Global Welding Technologies, igm Robotersysteme AG looks back on a 50-year history as a leading company in the field of welding automation. Igm has had extensive experience in the application of complex, sensor-guided welding and cutting robot systems since the 1980s. In addition to total economic solutions, robot systems developed for individual customer requirements are also available. More than 3500 of these systems have been successfully installed by igm in all sectors of mechanical engineering worldwide.

With subsidiaries and distribution partners in more than 20 countries, igm is now the only manufacturer and supplier of automated welding and cutting technology worldwide, from arc through laser to electron beam. As the only Austrian manufacturer of robots specially developed for arc welding, the customer has extensive expertise for all applications. Systems for the truck industry, for the dredger production, for the railway construction, the boiler production as well as for the shipbuilding are exported across the globe and form the backbone of manufacturing plants with many well-known manufacturers.

The offered product range extends from subsystems purely for automatic welding to complete systems consisting of several robot cells complete production lines. These systems are sold as finished turnkey solutions or integrated into existing systems.
