Considering solder joints and splice connections directly to each other, the advantages lie in the splicing technique. The soldering or welding, whether electrically or by means of ultrasound, leads to stiffening of the stranded wire. In addition, the effect of heat can damage the components and additionally affects the conductor structure. All this leads to a higher susceptibility to breakage of solder joints in contrast to splice connections. A crimp connection, which is also a splice to assign, is more resistant to vibrations and bends.
