The company Koch looks back on a decades-long tradition. As early as 1946, Richard Koch founded his mechanical engineering workshop in Oberfrohna and, with 3 fellows, manufactured spare parts, small machines and chucks for watchmaker lathes.
Since 1974, his son, mechanical engineer Dipl.-Ing. Werner Koch, the operation continues. In the period up to 1989, mainly chucks for watchmakers and small lathes, special machines for the needle industry and of course the so-called “rationalization means for the craft” were produced.
Meanwhile, the company has developed into a modern equipped company and employs about 30 people. In order to guarantee qualified young skilled workers at all times, apprentices have been trained in the company for many years.
In 1998, the company moved into its new building in the industrial area Kändler, a district of Limbach-Oberfrohna. In 2008 this was extended and the existing production area of ​​750m² was doubled.
In September 2016 Werner Koch officially handed over the management to his children Sandra Koch and Martin Koch. Both have been with the company for a long time.
Our core business is the high-precision CNC production of components of small and medium sizes between 1 and 10,000 pieces. Steel, stainless steels, aluminum, copper, plastics, titanium or various special alloys such as Hasteloy, Inconel and Nicrofer are processed.
