Our company was founded in 1996 as part of the far-reaching restructuring process of the East German and Thuringian economies through the spin-off of the optical coordinate measuring technology department from the research center of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. In addition to the sophisticated technical equipment, JENAer Meßtechnik GmbH was able to take over extensive ZEISS know-how, in particular the right to use several patents.
