ABOUT US
Fernwärme Ulm GmbH (FUG) is the district heating supplier for the city of Ulm with 200 employees. Our shareholders are EnBW AG and SWU-Stadtwerke Ulm / Neu-Ulm GmbH, each with a 50% stake.

The core competencies of Fernwärme Ulm GmbH are the operation, maintenance and optimization of the generation and distribution systems. Primary energy procurement, energy trading and billing for cooling and heating customers are also carried out by FUG.

The FUG sells the electricity generated in cogeneration to its shareholders and covers around 20% of Ulm’s electricity needs. Third parties also feed into the FUG district heating network, such as B. the waste incineration plant in the Danube valley and several biogas plants.

The FUG stands for the supply of clean energy to around 50% of Ulm’s citizens, businesses and companies. Well supplied with security – for us that means the continuous supply of the required amount of heat in the highest quality.

We recognized the trend and the need for environmentally friendly energy generation early on and implemented the energy transition consistently. And we will remain true to our role as a heating service provider for the city of Ulm in the future with trend-setting concepts and attractive offers.
