By hardware we refer to all electronic assemblies, displays, keyboards and other electrical and electronic components for measuring, controlling and regulating, displaying, for communication and data processing.
An electronic assembly consists of a circuit board on which electronic components, connectors, etc. are soldered. By using a programmable microcontroller and the appropriate software, the whole thing becomes an “embedded system”.
One focus of Altotec’s services is the development of customer-specific electronic assemblies and complete “embedded systems” such as control units with keyboards, displays, interfaces to other devices or PCs, and of course a wide variety of control and regulation tasks. The heart of these developments is usually a programmable microcontroller, for which the corresponding software (firmware) is then developed.
