Thermal Management
With the increasing technical demands of the electronic industry on the electronic and electrical devices, the associated heat problem is growing dramatically. Higher frequencies, reduced design, more functions and higher device performance generate the highest temperatures. They have to be handled in a controlled manner to ensure very good long-term performance, high stability and a long service life. To minimize the temperature of electrical circuits, heat sinks, heatsinks, and fans are often used to dissipate heat.
The thermal couplings of suitable thermally conductive materials are gaining in importance. Here KERAFOL ® offers with the KERATHERM ®Product range is an effective, straightforward and cost-effective solution.

KERATHERM ®
KERATHERM ® are highly flexible products made of thermally conductive and electrically insulating single- or multi-component polymers, which are filled with ceramic or thermally conductive materials.
A mechanical reinforcement of KERAFOL ® by means of incorporated glass fiber fabric or other materials offers the user a versatile applicable product. Due to its flexibility and very good physical properties, a versatile product use in electronics is possible.
KERATHERM ® thermal conductive films have a high thermal conductivity and are electrically insulating.
By using KERATHERM ® products assembly problems such as smearing and assembly errors can be avoided.
Compared with conventional heat conducting materials, KERATHERM ® products do not dry out in continuous use and therefore retain their good heat conduction properties for years to come.
Unlike mica, aluminum or polyamide discs, KERATHERM ® products can be used without thermal grease.
Silicone-based KERATHERM ® facilitates component assembly due to its self -adhesive properties .
One-sided adhesive coatings are also available and allow – even upside down – long-term applications.
