HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD is an internationally oriented medium-sized company in the field of machine tools. The company is part of the NILES-SIMMONS-HEGENSCHEIDT Group (NSH-Group), which combines over 175 years of experience in German and American machine tool manufacturing. In two business segments, HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD manufactures and distributes individual machines as well as turnkey production systems for railway companies and the automotive industry. The product range of the Railway business unit includes underfloor and overhead lathes for the reprofiling of wheelsets as well as wheelset presses, wheel set diagnostic systems and rolling stock track systems. The Automotive division manufactures and distributes fixed and leveling machines as well as pass-bearing antifriction and smooth-rolling machines for the machining of crankshafts. In both divisions, the company is one of the market leaders worldwide. HEGENSCHEIDT-MFD currently employs a total of approx. 480 people at four locations. In 2017, sales of approx. EUR 105 million were achieved.
